Stuffed French Toast


I love French Toast! I like mine plain, and my husband picks on me about it. (He smothers his in syrup.)

This French toast was flavorful enough that he didn’t add anything to it…straight from the pan, to the plate to his lips! I loved it because there is flavor but the bread doesn’t get soggy!! Perfect!!


8 slices of oat nut bread, or any thick sliced bread of your choice

1/2 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup seedless raspberry jam…or any flavor you choose!

5 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup milk

1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract (I left this out)

1 tbsp butter


Spread 4 slices of bread on one side with cream cheese. Spread remaining 4 slices on one side with jam. Press cream cheese slices together with jam slices, forming sandwiches.

In a medium, shallow bowl, beat together the eggs, milk and almond extract.

Melt butter in a large, heavy skillet over medium high heat. Dip sandwiches in the egg mixture to coat. Place in the skillet, and cook on both sides until golden brown.

Super easy and super tasty!!!!
