Easy Potato Casserole – Crock Pot Recipe


This is similar to the hash brown casserole my mother makes for family gatherings. What a great idea to put it in the crock pot instead…freeing up oven time! Our ovens are always overloaded on holidays and at large gatherings!


1 (2 pound) bag Southern Style frozen hash brown potatoes

1 (10oz) can condensed cheddar cheese soup

1 (12oz) can evaporated milk

2 tbsp butter, melted

1/2 tsp salt


Place potatoes in the crock. Combine soup, milk, butter and salt. Stir to mix then pour over potatoes. Stir gently to mix. cover and cook on Low for 6-7 hours. (High is not recommended for this recipe.)

Makes about 10 servings.
