‘Wursts and Sauerkraut – Crock Pot Meal

My husband absolutely loves ‘wursts and sauerkraut! This is a favorite of his!

Ingredients:

1 (28 oz) can of sauerkraut

1 envelope of dry onion soup mix

3/4 cup (12oz) bottle beer

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

2 pounds pre-cooked bratwurst, knockwurst, or kielbasa (My husband loves cheddarwurst!)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients, except the wursts, in the crock. Stir well.  Add the meat and stir. Cover and cook on:

Low for 6 hours or High for 3 hours.

Makes 6 servings.

To serve 12, double the sauerkraut, use full 12oz of beer, and double the amount of ‘wursts. The larger recipe requires a 5-6.5  quart slow cooker.
